Dr. Alexis Carreiro

My Approach:

Whether it’s individual one-on-one coaching or facilitating team workshops, I know how to bring the best out of my clients.

As The Pitch Prof, I blend aspects from consulting and coaching to give you the best of both worlds. Shakespeare once said, “all the world’s a stage.” This blended approach helps you own the stage and communicate with confidence.

About Me:

I earned my M.A. and Ph.D. (and began my teaching career) at the University of Texas-Austin. Their Communication & Media program is consistently ranked as one of the top 10 programs in the world. In 2008, I was the sole recipient of the department’s prestigious Continuing Fellowship.

Most recently, I worked as an Assistant Professor at Queens University in both the undergrad and graduate programs. They hired me to help them implement a $5.75 million dollar grant from the Knight Foundation focused on digital and media literacy. At Queens, my courses explored storytelling, new media, visual communication, public speaking, and audience engagement.

As a public speaker, I’ve given more than twenty presentations at events across the country — as a panel participant, invited guest, and plenary or key note speaker. Combined with my expertise as a moderator, educator, and workshop facilitator, I know how to engage the audience. And so can you.

Invest in yourself.
