Your work is complex, and it's hard to clearly explain in one sentence.
You're not sure how to quickly adapt your message to target different audiences and stakeholders.
You struggle to think on your feet, and tough questions catch you off guard.

About your coach
I hold a Ph.D. in communication. I've taught college students since 2005, including nearly a decade as an assistant professor. I coach nonprofit leaders, board members, and their teams on messaging and speaking, and I've trained groups of nonprofit leaders in pitch competitions, including SEED20.
Questions
Can my organization pay for this?
Yes. Some organizations pay, and some executive directors pay personally. If your organization pays, the playbook stays with the organization, even if your role changes. If you pay personally, the playbook is yours to keep.
How much time does it take?
Two sessions a month, plus any homework and practice we agree on. Improving a skill takes practice. I'm a coach; think of yourself like an athlete. You'll need to practice if you want to improve.
Do I need to be comfortable speaking already?
No. Many clients start nervous. I work with anyone from beginners to advanced public speakers. I can help you gain confidence and refine your skills at any level.
Why six months, with two sessions a month?
Six months gives us time to clarify your message, practice it on real situations, and use it with donors before our work ends. Two sessions a month leaves room between meetings to practice.
